particularly those that didn't interest you at the start based on its description or visuals.

at the start of the season, i felt abit disinterested by the new animes that came out. jujutsu kaisen was the only series i was watching until around end of november. my typical behaviour when picking new anime to watch is first read its description/genre and then watch 1-3 episodes before deciding whether to follow.

i don't have much interest in race cars so i wasn't expecting myself to love Overtake!, granted this one isn't heavily focused on racing. it's more towards slice of life i feel, i got sucked in by the characters. the last episode for it came out today.

another one is Migi to Dali. this anime gives off a creepy vibe and as someone that dislikes horror, it is kinda off-putting. so far, the story has been really interesting and the weirdness makes it really fun to watch. the author sadly passed away this year.

Beyblade X is actually pretty dang good, so I was surprised when a lot of the current fanbase seem to dislike it?

Some complain about the often kind of cheap or crappy animation which...yeah? That's the case for pretty much every iteration? They have a buttload of kind of bad looking episodes and then there will be that one which blasts you in the face with it's Sakuga, that has been the case ever since like...forever, in general kids anime especially

Just take a look at Ninjala or Shinkalion

I’ve only seen clips of it but Baki seems like an absolute riot! It tries its best to be utter nonsense!

ooh i havent watch any beyblade series in awhile but it seem like its from the same studio as the burst series/ninjala/shinkalion, so i don't get why it gets flack for its animation either.

baki was quite awhile ago but yea those fights are ridiculously over the top and youtube seems to be promoting those clips even now.

Frieren kinda came out of nowhere for me, and it's such a breath of fresh air to have an actual fantasy series with some genuine heart after a decade or more of all the sword and sorcery fare being low effort, ironic Isekai slop.

Not to say I didn't partake in ironic slop. I found Mashle to be a weirdly endearing series even though the whole premise is like "what if we made One Punch Man attend Hogwarts" and that's basically it. I was surprised to find that I like it.

Despite not having any interest in sports, I watched all of Slam Dunk recently. I was thinking I'd watch one episode just to get a little taste of cheesy old 90s anime nostalgia, but it hooked me.

frieren is really heartwarming to watch especially those moments of memories with himmel. i think i have a liking towards stories about aftermath of hero journeys, as one room hero was one of the anime i enjoyed alot in the previous season too. i can see how people get wary of heroic fantasy as its the most common setting for isekai, feels like every season has one haha.

To be honest a lot of newer anime really doesn't interest me all that much. Might have some hardcore fans give me shit for saying this but anime such as Jujitsu kaisen, most isekai anime, demon slayer, Naruto, and even one piece isn't really interesting to me. Finding new anime is kinda hard for me since a lot of newer anime tend to be the same shit in terms of premise, but different plot.

i see, i actually never picked up demon slayer, naruto or one piece lol. demon slayer i tried watching the first few episodes but just didn't grabbed my interest. the latter two mainly because the series is too long for me to catch up, i just read the wiki for their story haha. i dno abt the statement on same premise thou, i feel there is enough variety but it does require spending time to explore. when i was at the point of low interest for anime, thinking about exploring felt like a chore. now im happy to explore again hehe, next season is coming soon.

So Uhh Not Anime Persay But I Was Really Surprised By Netflixs Adaptation Of A Live Action Yu Yu Hakusho With How Condensed It Is I Thought It Was Going Nowhere But To My Surprise It Was As Engageing As Its Anime Counterpart

I Must Admit Its Not Better Then The Anime Itself As It Holds A Special Place In My Heart Regardless I Loved Live Action Yu Yu Hakusho It Takes Just Enough Libertys That It Does Not Make Me Upset Or Bore Me Super Job Netflix

***** Five Stars Watch It Everyone I Want MoR

hehe this thread is secretly for promoting underrated stuff. maybe i will check it out, live action shows usually serves as a gateway for the anime/manga. my first experience with death note is the live action japanese movie(not the netflix one) which got me hooked to the series.

Thank You lucifertan

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off surprisingly surprised me even though I knew it was gonna have a different story than the books.

I honestly never expected them to get rid of Scott for a couple of episodes and have the show focus on Ramona for a bit, I just expected it to be a different story with Scott In the limelight again.

Also, I know some people here are going to say that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off "isn't an Anime" because of its Canadian Origins but for fucks sake! It still counts as an anime since it has the style and everything, anime doesn't have to just be Japanese you know

just finished watching My Daemon on netflix. the animation is its weakpoint and might throw you off due to the 3d anime look. the background and lighting makes scenes look quite nice thou and the camera is put to good use to make action sequences look really dynamic. there are parts where the animation feels laggy especially when there are lots of people in the scene. but the story is where it truly shines for me, it's like pokemon with darker elements.
