I reallllyyyy want to recommend this game right here. It's a super cool 3D platformer with a unique art style and lots of solid levels to compliment it.
Definitely worth checking out.

: Maaaaan. So yeah, I don’t dislike mobile gaming, it’s App Stores and amoral capitalism I don’t like.
: We should keep making web gaming so good that App Stores pee themselves.
Real. Apple forces app devs to pay 100$ a month to keep their apps on their store and take 30% of all revenue they make.

: Stuff like this doesn’t feel right, it’s like…it’s Fruit Ninja. It should just exist as-is and not be so rizzed about makin’ ad rev. And as for game preservation, the early Angry Birds games got taken down for a bit, though they have said they’ll bring them back, not sure if they have yet or not. Alas, such is the way of the App Store.
They did remake the original Angry Birds and brought it back for a small period of time but now Rovio's planning to delist it on the playstore and is changing its name to "Red's First Flight" on IOS because they think too many people are playing it :(
Congrats to all the winners! All of the entries in May were so awesome I can't wait to see what the rest of June has in store :D

Congrats man you deserve it! :)))
I loved playing your game (even tho i could only get pass Alucard)
You rocked it, Trick! <3
Aw thanks ;v;
Thanks so much for playing my entry btw! It means a lot, I took inspiration from Pico vs Bear DX while developing it. Oh Yeah, I noticed that you didn't get all the medals. If you ever feel like going back to the game there is an extra ending you can get if you spare all of the bosses ;)
Congrats to all the winners! I'm so happy that I participated in this year's Pico Day :). It was pretty hard to make a game with the deadline on the same week of uni finals but I enjoyed it. The entries this year are awesome too!
To participate, create a movie, game, song or work of art celebrating something you love on Newgrounds. Upload it on May 6th and tag it with PicoDay2023.
Dumb question but I submitted my Pico Day game to the portal but tagged it with picoday2023 with all lowercase letters because for some reason it kept automatically changing to that. Will my submission still be entered?
There's something about actually being able to hold and touch your stuff, and to see and admire.
That makes physical copies better.
It's like collecting toys.
Yeah there's a just a really exciting feeling you get when you look at the box art of a highly anticipated game before opening the case that getting something digitally doesn't get you. Also with physical games you can pretty much keep them forever unlike digital.
Will scouting ever come to Movies and Games? It’s possible. Maybe scouted artists would skip the judgment phase but others would still risk having their entries voted off the site. It would make the judgment list more manageable while removing a bottleneck for vetted artists.
Imo I think having Movies and Games being in the judgement phase for everyone is fine as it is. I'm a scouted artist but as a game dev and animator I still have a long way to go and I feel like having my works be judged can facilitate obtaining my goal of reaching my fullest potential as a creative. Users can be harsh at times when voting on work but I think it encourages people to put more effort into their work and learn from their flaws to develop.
Thank you so much for doing this! :))
I will draw that chilidog sonic

: that's it!
Really epic art right here. Super underrated too.
Woah I was a runner up, how cool! Congrats to the winners :)))
: i just looked it up and it looks like a cool game, plus the style gives me a few cave story vibes and i like it for that
That's cause it was made by the guy who made Cave Story lol.

Ah, makes sense. Thank you so much!
Does anyone know when the winners will be announced? I'm just kind of curious cause there hasn't been much news on this lately.
I have a question. Is it possible to make multiple entries for different categories? Like, can I enter a movie and an art piece for example?
Guess Imma join the trend of sharing entries made for the jam! Worked pretty hard on this one, tho I wish I wasn't limited to sony vegas while making this. https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/782987
OOOOOO!! I am so excited for this! I can't wait to start on my entry!!
Well one reason why Sonic Mega Collection remained so memorable to me is that it was one of the first Sonic games I have ever played and it also introduced me to the franchise. When my cousin first purchased this for his gamecube and gave me a chance to play it I didn't know what Sonic The Hedgehog was but I was curious so I decided to take his controller to give it a try. The moment the title screen showed up I was hooked to every single aspect about it. To start, the screenshots of Sonic's classic games really interested me and and displayed a tiny exciting peak that dared me to go and play them. Oh and I can't forget about the title theme.. OOOH THAT WAS SO GOOD!!! That catchy theme had me sold that day. After I selected the game menu it gave me so many different Sonic games to play and explore.
