I can confirm that supporter forum is essentially General 2....
I dont know much about the technical mechanics of art sites but you should call your site Artbulge.
Trust me.

That's just how it is. No biggie. XD
Also, I'm just really good at hiding my nonexistent art education and poor application of fundamentals. I just wanna hone those skills and be in some kind of art-improvement community since I don't have that IRL.
Its wise to know yourself. I'm sorry that its like that, the crew has always been rowdy and more or less exemplifies the old newgrounds more than the new. That being said, the invitation stands if you change your mind or in the unlikely event you are not Mina, are reading this, and think you'd fit in with that sort of group.

I was thinking of replacing it anyway - now that I’ve got a solidified idea of my persona, this doesn’t seem to fit anymore.
I wouldn't worry about it too much then, the thread topic got me thinking, and I was wondering if maybe there was some additional symbolism to it.
Has anyone ever told you that your icon is quite...yonic?
I think girl in pose and flower (often together) will remain the most used symbols in history for beauty probably forever? or until the point that gender as a construct is extinct or that interest in beauty as a concept ascends beyond physicality? Its not that they're basic its that they're fundamental symbols of the concept of beauty and nature.
I dont see the option to scout him.
I delete my art to keep it the same number. Its not an issue.

but my supporter time is going to run out soon....
It honestly came out so much better than I expected
.......when you say the prize money is a given it makes sense to assume you mean you're giving out prize money to the people in question as a default. You seem to be instead looking for alternatives to prize money when I am offering ways to augment the prize money.

Also, I don’t think you have to be an artist to run or host an art contest: it’s more on organization, negotiation, and
providing something that makes the contest worth winning. Something that says, “yes, I accomplished this, and this is something worth displaying on a trophy case”.
As for Supporter time, I dunno because getting a year of Supporter here only costs 25 bucks: while it is a great addition to a set of contest prizes, I doubt it’s worth days upon days making a masterpiece just for a chance of getting that alone.
Ovimaniac I thought this question was under the assumption that prize money was a given, I was reinforcing the idea that art from the host (or a friend of theirs) + sub time are valuable bonuses on this site.

i have a toyhouse
I still dont know what the collab is
Man, the premise and execution are pretty cool but super specific. You might have a handful of people here whove made fakemon at any point (i have) but making it specifically about reflecting another culture puts it into way out there territory.
Its interesting, but I feel like most people who make fakemon come up with a design or a pun and kind of just make it exist in a vacuum, they dont go that extra level to give it a cultural context. Feel like a lot of the newer pokemon arent even based on yokai or puns anymore. I dont really have a culture I'd want to add to a fakemon anyways, as that probably requires some sort of pride in ones country or origin to do. Anyways, its not quite what you asked for but the one fakemon I probably like the most that I've made is Phantomime (i came up with the pun first)
It's supposed to be a normal/ghost type and the theme is making shadow puppets with its hands manifest into attacks and moves.
if it has girlies in it people dont really give a shit. hell, even things that arent even animated (like literally NO ANIMATION) have gotten daily first here

Comment however you like but please dont post large unrelated images in my gallery. It makes the thread pages shorter than they should be and its sort of rude I guess.
I've been working on this project for the past few months, one might get the impression I've been working on it for a few years but thats not really the case. There was maybe 4 months of concerted effort from me on my part. I made a lot of art and animation for it but its sort of hard to present gamedev stuff as you're going along with it, even after the game is done I'm not really sure how to make most of this stuff presentable to people and quite a bit of it I'm not actually proud of. Here's some of the stuff I think is worth looking at.
by all means, i could use more blams.
Hi yosos. I remember you, because there are not many of us who do this sort of thing.
Its not really my responsibility nor (my wish) to dictate to you which direction you should go with pixel art animation.
You should find an artist you like and break apart the elements you like in their work, which can be anything really, a rendering style, color choices or even how they use or dont use AA, then add those elements to your own work.
Its clear you understand the basic elements of motion, color and the pixel art medium in general so its up to you to choose a path to go.

WOW thanks for cluttering the first page of the animation forum with a completely useless old thread for no reason dickbutt!
yes. look at a skeleton. look at muscle groups. look at the relationship between the two. you're asking a question that requires an immense amount of critical thinking and observation/experimentation and work to answer.
guess thats it. those mostly silhouette ones arent going to show up very well against this bg but I guess I dont really care huh
