I am trying to rotoscope something for an animation and your help would be great.
You will need the video to be in the FLV format.
Then it should import without any issues and you will be able to rotoscope or use as reference.
For this conversion you should be able to use either the included Adobe Video Encoder or an older version of Adobe Media Encoder such as CS6.

Yeah, it's a package, so install it and then you can disable the ones you don't need via the EDAPT Control Panel.
Each one has its own page with information what it does: https://flash-powertools.com/category/commands/

my only complaints so far is no stabilization(maybe I am spoiled with clip studio paint) but I downloaded Hej Stylus.

In Flash you should set your audio export settings to better quality.
In Publish Settings find Audio Stream and choose high bit rate for MP3 or RAW.

How do you export?
Post a screenshot of your export settings or screen recording how you export.

You open it in CS6 and save as CS5, then open it in CS5 and save as CS4; open in CS4 and save as CS3.
Finally, you open the file in CS3 and save it as a Flash 8 FLA.
It only takes a few minutes, but you need to have the CS versions installed.
This is one of my Flash Animation reels - shots from a project finished five years ago, in late 2018. What was great about it was that I not only animated all 'my' episodes, but directed them, did all character design and rigging, and also did the sound design.
Another remarkable thing is that what you see is all accomplished entirely in Flash, without any post. The SWFs look exactly like the video.
Produced in Flash Pro CS6 powered by EDAP Tools. At the time I wrote about my thought process behind its look and feel, if anyone is interested.

For example, could I change my animation (that syncs with a song) from 12 fps to 20fps and it still syncs?
No. If you change the fps, you will need to re-time.
Also: 20 fps is not a standard frame rate and should be avoided.
Only use standard rates (24, 25, 30) or multiples of such (12, 12.5, 15), which can be converted to standard in post.

Hi mate,
The best advice I can give is to have a good reel, showing good understanding and application of the Principles and varied types of shots - more subtle acting, but also some action.
Have a website or a portfolio on some platform, where you only post your best stuff.
Keep connected with colleagues in real life, attend gatherings, and keep applying.
This IRL part is kind of tricky, because on one hand you are in competition with these people for the same positions, but also they are your peers and as opportunities arise can invite you to join a team (or vice versa).
Good luck!
The Electric Dog team is proud to introduce Flanimate Power Tools v.6.9
This update brings high-performing KineFlex to Adobe Animate.
Finally KneFlex in Animate is as smooth and as pleasant to use as it has always been in Flash.
Welcome, mate, and well done!
Great to see your progress and read about your process!
This is a nice format here, on the forum, started by a couple of guys who, sadly, haven't posted for a very long time.

Hi mate!
Unfortunately, no. The UI elements are set and cannot be changed.
A 35-element Smart Magnet Rig.
The objective for this test was to design and create a 'heavy' rig to use for stress testing the new high-performing KineFlex in Adobe Animate. Created in AA 23, this will be used to demonstrate how finally KineFlex's performance in Animate is on par with that in Flash.

There is no dark theme in any version of Flash.
As for the eraser pressure, you can try to use the eraser at the back of your stylus. It may work with pressure.
Also: keep your documents as AS2 (not AS3) and Flash CS6 will be almost entirely bug-free.
At 7/18/23 01:33 AM, myhead3 wrote: anybody have tv flash/animate cc .fla assets to examine for study? I always wondered what different studios use of flash process was like.
There is this guy called Eric J Pringle who posts demos quite frequently on Twitter. Don't know if he shares files, but if you know Flash well, you will be able to follow him easily.
We also have some pro-grade rigs and files which you can download to study.
As far as I know from personal experience all development is done under NDAs and sources are never officially open sourced. If identified the person who has leaked sources could be prosecuted, due to breach of contract.
That is why in most cases people only 'leak' model sheets or video material demos, but not actual FLAs of scenes.
At 7/18/23 01:59 PM, ElTaco6969 wrote: How is CS4 the worse Flash?
In a million ways. It is broken all over; tweens have 'sync' enabled by default, has serious performance issues, difficulty handling nested symbols, and many, many bugs. Avoid Flash CS4!

The fastest and most precise way to zoom in is to press Ctrl+Spacebar, which temporarily switches to zoom tool, and then draw a box around the area you want to zoom.

Put your two separate animations inside Graphic Symbol containers each on its own layer and mask both.
I've used this technique in Flash to have at one point the screen split into 3:
My note about CS6 vs. CS5 was not related to the pen pressure problem. It is just a general remark about it being a better Flash in all respects.
Most likely you have a problem with your driver, compatibility with this particular tablet model or a system issue.
Try to update the driver, dig into its settings, and ask in the XP Pen forums.
I have all versions of Flash - 8, CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 - for testing purposes and they all work great with Wacom Intuos on Win 10, Win 7 and XP.
