Bullshit. They're still carrying pulling the same crap today.
What makes North Korea different (similar to the Balkans and Uganda back then) is that they are blatant about causing human suffering on levels that are appalling by today’s standards and there is nothing much we can do without invoking China’s wrath. China is a nuclear state and the Communist regime are ruthless assholes, so we have to tread lightly.
The US drone strikes weddings and villages to "fight terrorism", travels to foreign countries to shoot women and children over some "weapons of mass destruction" that frankly didn't exist to begin with and steals their oil. Funds "rebels" and "revolutions" to fight governments they don't like then turns around and calls them "terrorists" once they got their use out of them. Don't pretend you're any better.
Last time I checked, we don’t starve criminals in shit pit gulags and send three generations of their families to certain death because someone told a joke about Korean Eric Cartman.

I'm sure the US treats its prisoners (Convicted, awaiting trial or on false charges) with as much dignity and respect.
Maybe get off your moral high horse before making wild claims and comparisons.
Kiss my ass.

Wow it's literally just a seasonal flu with a scary name. (Except influenza has a higher mortality rate) The only proof of this meme virus being real is through vaguely defined symptoms.
It's ridiculous how the west tries to dehumanise the North Koreans in every shape or form and accuse them of various things as if they had not done the same thing but even worse, on a bigger scale, and over a longer period of time.
Prison camps? So what? What makes them any different from just a regular prison? The US has the largest prison population in the world and a lot of their own citizens get shot and killed by their own police before they even see a court room for the pettiest of things.
Americans pretending to be outraged over the death of petty criminal Otto Warmbier in North Korean custody when he could have just been shot by police for doing the same thing at home.
Maybe if you could exchange XP for bitcoin or something that has worth...
Anybody who can assess a situation and make an educated guess on the outcome is a prophet.

Nothing much will happen in WWIII. China will just buy every country.
You've all been scared into subservience by a boogeyman.
There is nothing democratic about voting between two virtually identical candidates from the same ruling class who only answer to the same people who sponsor them.

Glad you agree about debt and wage slavery.

Cope on. Lets see where all that borrowed money conjured out of thin air leads.

Someone is my neighbourhood is stockpiling Greek yoghurt.
I had fun playing Shark! Hunting The Great White... I'm sure there's plenty of good abandonware but it's been years since I last played any. I think SimTower became one as well.
That said there's nothing stopping you from pirating games.
Can't die from the coronavirus meme if you die from something else.

It kinda is.

Now THIS is a classic.
Slavery comes in different forms these days. Most people would imagine slavery in the form of shackling people and making them pick cotton whilst whipping them or something like that. That classic version of slavery still goes on today: Middle Eastern Countries like the UAE (Dubai) have taken the passports of foreign workers after luring them with work offers from places like Bangladesh and house them in rather inhumane conditions. Dubai was practically built on slave labour.
Even in Western countries slavery still goes on. Off the top of my head there's debt slavery and wage slavery. (One's livelihood depending on wages and the fear of not having wages keeping them docile)
It's nice that the streets are empty whenever I travel to/from work and I don't have to dodge or walk around people, dog shit, gypsy beggars pretending to be homeless, etc.
I already caught coronavirus twice it's literally nothing but fearmongering.
Should be interesting. A lot of games and developers are very one-sided when it comes to such topics or won't even dare touch it at all from what I've seen.
How can it be flat if the Earth is hollow?
Muslim Uyghur extremists in Xinjiang, China were discovered not consuming alcohol or pork and growing out their beards. They were apprehended by Chinese authorities and sent to deradicalisation camps where they will be taught to appreciate pork and alcohol consumption.
