Excited for this release! Making the song was just as fun as painting the cover. One of my best if I do say so myself. I personally think the sound design is fantastic on this one.

Been going ham on these caricatures lately
I have been doing caricatures lately.

Releasing a new song next month so I'm putting together a new cover art based on a really cool werewolf Captain America cover. That's Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

The one thing I don't particularly get is what she's sitting on top of, is that the ballsack or what is it exactly? Other than that really great work, and the freckles on her butt, really cute detail.
Good for him 👍
Now that the cover is finished and the song's gonna release soon. I started working on a new minicomic. Currently painting this cover art for it.
The cover is done! If you're interested in listening to the song you can pre-save it now on Spotify and hear it as soon as it comes out.

Really close to finishing this piece, probably one more session and I can release the new song.
Only a couple more things left to paint to finish off this cover art and release the song.

Some people are just waiting around this summer for another animation jam to pull up and give them an excuse to make something badass, ridiculous! Except I need that too; the Summer Lovin’ Jam was pretty fun last year ^.^

But that’s it, I’m not gonna bail y’all out next year when nobody steps up to host another Summer Animation Jams. So many people are looking forward to it and you’ll be so popular and loved for putting it together. You just gotta know what you wanna see pop up on the site and craft your prompts to help make it happen, no animation knowledge required to host!
Live Action Jam
“I thought Newgrounds didn’t allow live action?”
The only requirement is that you use some live action element in your movie submission. You can base your entire submissions around this or it can be a small piece complimenting other animated elements (it's still newgrounds and so it's gotta be animated). You can even include live action into a project you're currently working on and submit it to this jam! Here's some excellent films on the site that incorporate varying amounts and types of live action footage:

Some submissions are probably gonna toe the line on the amount of "use" the live action elements get in their submission: "well I used a photo for the background texture" and honestly if we need to be scrupulous and debate its inclusion we're just gonna toss it out of the rankings, but feel free to make your case in the description of your movie if you're really paranoid/concerned. Rotoscoping to distort or replace the original footage entirely is of course allowed!

Blender is a free 3D application with a video editor and motion tracking
DaVinci Resolve is a powerful, free video editing software with great color grading tools
EbSynth can be used to transfer styles on top of footage by editing only a couple frames
Natron is a free and open source compositor. "Very similar to nuke! Awesome node based compositing!!!" - @Potatoman
Unreal Engine is a another 3D creation option, recommended by Potatoman
Also there's nobody to host the Advent Calendar this year, GeoKureli and BrandyBuizel are spent and it’s about time somebody reboots this newgrounds tradition with their own style and new voices! So there’s your warning.
Shoutout to @Bacun, @DrewPBalls and @MalcolmSith for their help on the jam promo banner!
This jam is a great time to put together your own "My Newgrounds AD" too like from the good ol' days.
This was my try a while back:
Drawing up some fantasy character portraits.

Both actually. I like to dry fit a lot which is to mix and match things without glue till something looks cool and then actually put it together but some times I also get weird ideas for creatures so I’ll thumbnail them first and then it’s much easier to build knowing what sort of pieces I need to find or make.

Your sketches are great, but I think you might benefit from a bigger sketchpad so you can draw with your whole arm instead of your wrist. This will make fore more confident lines, also try drawing in just pen. It's a challenge but you are able to learn so much from not being able to erase and it's that much easier to post later cause the lines are darker.thank you, ill keep this in mind!!!! ive been meaning to get into the habit of drawing in pen, it seems rlly fun
my current sketchbook is already kind of huge (at least for me lmao, i have a hard time carrying it bc i find it heavy although others have been able to carry it just fine. it’s 9 x 12 inches btw)
That's a great size then. Perhaps you're limiting yourself to too little of a space when drawing and you should try and use as much of the page as possible per fewer drawings instead. Try that out and let's see what it looks like. Pen is great. I almost exclusively sketch with pen now a days.

Perhaps a darker outline would work better, maybe even a darker background if you decide to keep the white outlines and bright colors. This way you have a bit more contrast and it's easier on the eyes.
that said though,i wanted to go into a "light hearted" route with that drawing, and i thought that having a dark background wouldn't really fit the atmosphere i was going for. the best i could settle was having a multiply layer to try and atleast reduce the lighting on it while checking my saturation layer to see what works, but even then i felt that the background needs to be as light as possible
heck,i even put on the white outlines to try and distinguish her from the background
Try it with a black outline, she will pop out much more. That being said you can also try a contrasting color instead of going with the green on green you went. A red, even a purple color will make her pop much more.

What could have happened?Do you have A-rated content filtered out in the top right corner? That could be the problem
Hmmm good question, if you have them still you can try to upload them again and see what happens.
