So long story short, I've been planning to make a web animated sitcom for a while and it's go-time, and I'd love to get someone to help me with the animation process. It's going to involve a fair amount of frame-by-frame work (nothing too significant; I'm not exactly Spazkid in terms of Flash animation ability so dwai too much who I choose is anyone's game).

One person will be chosen so if you don't get picked don't take it personally, this is a shoe-string operation done by one twenty-something dumbass, not an animation studio!

In case it'd be a selling point in any way to know what the animated sitcom will be about: two eskimos are bored in Antarctica and decide to become the best death metal band in Antarctica (yes really).

While this along with a lot of what you said all raise a valid point I think it needs to be understood that it takes a lot of man-power and tenacity to even grace the surface with implementing the kind of arrangement you're envisioning here. It's not that it's impossible it's just that it would take the planets to align; everyone has their own walk-of-life and different wavelength they're on and while we're all drawn here by the impetus to be creative, we're not going to see eye-to-eye on every matter and it's going to take a lot of tapping into and coordinating friendships and breaking the molds with comfort zones that frankly are only human and in-place for a reason. If someone makes something that puts them on the map and they get interviewed, it kind of serves as that litmus test needed to see if they're worth that time and energy; is it a bit selective and hegemonistic? Yes but that's life really I'm inclined to think.

I love that Newgrounds really is everything by everyone but it's not everyone gets a trophy land either; either make something that satisfies yourself and perhaps a handful of people while the rest offset it into a 2.5-3 star rating or show people some serious chops and creative skill or ideas that really transcend what's expected as far as what a human being can do creatively, whether it's something that's just pulchritudinous and ain't nobody seen anything that refreshing in a bit or something that's hilarious and dances with our brains rather than comes off as drab and gray

But yeah I love this site and I hope to see cool things happen in the future the end

There's a lot of truth here. I think that with how tumultuous and fever-dream esque these pandemic times are making everything in a technocratic world that let's be frank was already gravitating toward everyone being an island of a person rather than one big mass of common man that finds one another easy enough to consistently relate to everyone's brains are naturally turning to nostalgia for comfort because there's not too much to indulge in as far as the now goes. Fragmented is a fair way to put it. I can't help but wonder if this is part of the reason Friday Night Funkin yielded such success; not only does it have the classic Newgrounds Flash art style but it's essentially just Flash Flash Revolution with vocoded beatboxing music only; two things that we could all go into a fugue state enjoying in the past that we don't see much of in the present.

But anyway, I definitely do consider what I want to do as an artist a lot; I have so many ideas I just go into what I wouldn't even call paralysis by analysis it's more like I'm more creative and crafty than my actual talent and resourcefulness (severe lack thereof I'd say) can keep up with so I constantly have ideas that'd be cool but I've also been an animator for a decade (literally; mid this month or so is when I first installed Flash and felt inspired by the likes of Spazkid, speedo, Ricepirate, Stamper, Jeff etc.) so I end up only chasing what I think people would resonate the most with but I mean what's the point really in the long run; I ain't ever gonna be MeatCanyon nor do I completely envy that position as I know I couldn't fit those shoes if my life depended on it, so why constantly make derivative material and parodies when I'm not to really see anything of it in the long run more than likely? This shit ain't my job; I'm a hoi polloi white trash motherfucker not an animation virtuoso lmfao

Also I wholeheartedly agree; I listened to Newgrounds Radio quite a bit when the pandemic started and I found some unbelievable gems. People seem to forget that a lot of people just crafting out whatever concots in their head really can be just as appreciable, talented, and quality-wielding as the actual music industry we all know.
