Super Circuit is actually pretty good. It's probably the hardest (or at least second hardest) Mario Kart game, which is nice because it's actually a nice challenge to complete it. It's track designs are actually pretty fun and interesting too. The controls are weird but I wouldn't call them bad.

I consider it my 3rd favorite Mario Kart game (Behind DS (barely) and Wii), which is higher than most people give it. But I'm not sure why people prefer the N64/SNES Mario Kart games over Super Circuit. SNES Mario kart is janky as hell and uninteresting tracks, and N64, while it has this neat charm to it, is really barren.

I think the reason why people love MK64 and SMK is because nostalgia, as SNES and N64 were very popular consoles, unlike the GBA. Also, probably because of their speedrunning story, since (aside from MKWii) these two games are the most broken and speedruneable games in the series

hehe i also code button that does nothing, just to see how the ui would look.
the hardest thing i coded would be my brush switching plugin for krita (the ui part).

the brush switching code was relatively easy(in part this is a modification to an existing plugin) compared to coding the ui for user to customize their brush sets.

gotta say coding ui that allows user customization is tough lol. im using pyqt so in a sense most of the ui is coded for me but when you want to implement something different from the default, there is alot more understanding needed and you have to wrestle with the underlying code to get what you want. im currently struggling with another plugin im developing, stuck at how to implement an intuitive experience when the user goes into the customization options. when i'm done with it, it will be my newly crowned hardest thing to code haha.
