Ngl, I've never drawn leather-based clothes before, even less when it comes to a full set of clothes, But I do feel that my drawing feels like believable leather, what do you guys think?

Response to: Open Mic Thread - Post Voice Demo Posted 11 days ago in Voice Acting

This is my very first time I expose my voice on the Internet this is going to be very bad and cringe. I think the problem with my voice right now is that I squeak too much and my vocal range seems to kind of suck especially when I try to do pitches. I’m still trying to find the sweet spot. Well at least I’m going through growth can you give me some advice about how to improve?

edit: judging from some of the other voice demos, I’m probably the worst when it comes to the quality. I had a good microphone, but we sold it because it was too old I wanna get a yeti microphone but I heard you’re going out of business. Well I’m not paying $400 for an SB microphone and I’m also not paying $10 for a shitty microphone. Should I get rid of it and practice more? Any advice would be appreciated!

Response to: Has a horror novel ever actually scared you? Posted 11 days ago in Writing

Now this isn’t a horror novel, but I played TCOAAL and holy shit that was disturbing and very weird. You got a sexual relationship between a brother and a sister cannibalization of their own parents and hunting down of other victims. I’m never playing that again and since I just turned 18 I may want to stop playing stuff that may look at childish or has a fandom that looks very you know what

Response to: is it ok to remake club penguin? Posted 11 days ago in Game Development

It’s going to be very difficult with all the moderation issues I’ve seen tons of different club penguin remakes have moderation issues. A lot of disturbing stuff slid through the cracks. so I don’t know how you’re going to moderate what if it grows to a point where you can’t moderate it yourself even today there’s a high demand for club penguin remakes.

Response to: What video games did you get this Christmas? Posted 11 days ago in Video Games

Well, I got super Mario Bros wonder I heard it’s really popular at least Nintendo’s finally doing some unique. I’m not a fan of the clay like texture of the game though. For anything else I didn’t get anything that I wanted for Christmas, though like a microphone for voice acting, a gaming/anything else PC for animating without any of this how am I supposed to do shit on an iPad. It’s very hard harder than you think!

The humour in this one is just too damn funny (for those of you who wanna find old flash animations or games here’s what I would suggest. search for a low ID number between 1 to 10000 in the search bar, go to archive.org search up flash, animations and sort by year, or go to flashpoint flash archive and search by year.)

Response to: Flash nostalgia Posted 13 days ago in Animation

when being a famous YouTuber was severely hated, at least Ray William Johnson made a comeback this year

to people who are for gun control take this into perspective (if you’re lazy, and you don’t wanna watch it essentially if we were to be in all guns, all law, abiding citizens will handover their guns, while all criminals will not handover their guns so there will not be a lot of people trying to stop them only the police quite a large portion of gun related crimes are stopped by a good guy with guns)

notice anything weird with this entry (hint it’s in the search bar)

Also, I remember seeing a video that featured the song from The Doors “People Are Strange” I remember seeing an animation feature in the song as some sort of music video just featuring random strange faces. I have found the video but it’s on a very sketchy website with very disturbing content I will try and re-upload the video if that’s allowed because I can’t find it in the search terms

Like I donate $15 a month, automatically, every month. I've been doing this for years. This has just been lagniappe on top of my supporter payments for both my account and Crosseye's account.
I don't know what you've been doing with that money all this time, but I trust your judgment. I figure you're paying the admin team or buying Luis beer, all necessary to keep NG running.

What if you started a gang where people paid like $10 a month or $20, and then you could move it as needed?
I feel like that would be about the same as donating $100 for one project?

I dunno. I'm supposed to be doing grown up things right now but instead I'm about to watch Madness stuff. I'm not a responsible adult.
It's something to keep in mind but we would likely need to set up a secondary Supporter option for it and the current Supporter subs already don't cover hosting and development. I also like the idea of people donating specifically to projects they like, so if they are a David Firth fan they can feel good sponsoring Salad Fingers but if they aren't, they can skip sponsoring and not feel like their money was wasted.

Not everyone ended up chipping in $100 for the Salad Fingers sponsorship (some less, some more) but I like the goal of $100 as a first-time "buy in" to the group, with the option to pay less for future sponsorships or sit them out. Each sponsorship could start in-gang and if the goal can't be met, it would become an opportunity for new people to join the gang.
that seems like a good idea Tom for making money. I do have a few ideas that has been floating around my head for a while this seems like the most appropriate place to post here ~~
Let's have a looksy here...

I think you'll find there is little appetite for Crypto-anything including NFTs. The hardware consumes a great amount of energy and contributes to global warming. NFTs are straight up scams.

We have advertised festivals in the past. I believe the barn art collective does this every year?

Licensing is expensive and complicated legally. The NG Money Gang has paid thousands at this point to have a week of exclusive rights to Salad Fingers and Monkey Wrench. Advertisers are hesitant to work with NG because of all the PR0N.

In my opinion, Animators that have worked with Machinama specifically have had issues with creators-- who have lost their rights to their work. Youtube is Google (who is now Alphabet) and they have in the past told Tom they want nothing to do with us financial-wise because PR0N.

Good idea, but whom-- and do their stakeholders know whats on this website? They need to be very open minded and liberal imo.

Not sure what Tom pay for rent now or even Taxes... Pennsylvania's Tax system is... Archaic to say the least.

i’m not referring to licensing anything by the way I’m referring to telling the creators the Sfw ones at least to maybe make original Contant

I also had a friend of mine who worked with machinima for the animation series sanity not included when the series was coming to an end in 2014 he told machinima that he wanted to keep the series going on another channel but machinima said no one of the many reasons why machinima closed its doors. I had so many memories from watching their stuff though.

Well, it looks like you debunked everything if only we can do some with the pron but unfortunately all the most popular Content and content creators do make that stuff I mean it’s technically the truth if we basically started the idea of an automated portal system where anyone can post as long as they follow rules. i’m just gonna wait here until I come up with another good idea I’m kind of under the weather it seems to me that p0rn seems to be the issue financial wise for financial expansion but I’m not taking that off of there like 90% of our movie Traffic is from that. Anyone else got any ideas for making money?

that seems like a good idea Tom for making money. I do have a few ideas that has been floating around my head for a while this seems like the most appropriate place to post here I think I don’t know I’m kind of a newbie. The first one is kind of a dumb one but investing in cryptocurrency like some sort of device that I saw a video on called a hotspot miner that can basically give you free passive income depending on your location. the second idea that I have is try and participate more in animation festivals by getting some creators from your website to participate there to see if the creators can get some money or some awards to boost our prestige. the third idea seems like an interesting one, but making a subscription-based service like Netflix or like Crunchyroll that will have original exclusive animations on it and it will be really unique like imagine an animation series or some guy reviews games or movies and does crazy stuff you know. the fourth idea that I have is remember the gaming channel machinima where you can partner with them and they get their money and you get your money I’m curious if we can start a partnership program like that on YouTube now the only problem that I have with that is it seems really greedy and it will result in even less money for the creator. the fifth idea is a really stupid idea also but sort of makes sense we could try and plead or tell charities or foundations that are known for Internet archiving or something like that and tell them to give us money because essentially this website invented the idea of making stuff to share on the World Wide Web the sixth and final idea that I have is that this is going to be a really hard one to make and you’re probably never going to do this but moved to a place that’s more small business friendly or a place that’s cheaper in taxes or something or maybe even a place that gives companies like this incentives you know like places that want tech companies to move there or companies that are involved with the Internet you know. A bonus idea would be to find out some sort of way to make passive income by finding creative ideas by I don’t know following a YouTube channel to see if they have a good idea like NFT which suck but but they’re a good way to make income or maybe diversify by getting a business partner or something I don’t know these are just some ideas that I just had to post somewhere these are just some brainstorming things that I am thinking about you don’t have to take this seriously but either just some ideas that I just had to get out to the website for ideas and inspiration😊
