You can't just rename a file to mp3. You have to export as mp3 from Audacity.

So did you export an mp3 from Audacity? Does it play OK in another app?
At 12/2/23 02:03 PM, DragonFang324 wrote: How long has this been going on?
What did you generate the mp3 with? Sometimes the file gets corrupted which causes this error. You can use mp3check or something like that depending on what OS you're on.
What are you uploading? How large is the file?

If there's an issue with the mp3 the upload will fail. Try this:

Hop into chat and ping me if that happens.

You can find schedules here:

Sometimes that just happens. One guy couldn't access the site at all for a while there and then one day it just started working (it was his ISP). There are a lot of stops between you and us and sometimes something along the way breaks and it's nearly impossible to troubleshoot and fix it. Glad it's better now.
We only support the major browsers so anything else should be considered community supported. People who use other browsers do seem to run into issues like this from time to time.
At 1/24/23 02:14 PM, Epicwinnzer wrote: oh, 13.5, U think it’s an outdated version?
Way outdated. Older versions of MacOS and iOS don't support webp images so that's probably why you're seeing missing icons and things like that.
Should be supported. You can upload and try it out. If it doesn't work you'll get an encoder error.

Do you have access to a VPN? I wonder if you could VPN somewhere else...if that would affect anything. Nothing I'm seeing here would explain this. I'll keep digging around.

Hrmm yeah something isn't right here. Why would a 1.5KB image take 25 seconds to load? I will look into this a bit more. Thanks for posting so much info.
At 12/12/22 10:03 AM, KrashHash wrote: All that's really changed here is the latency, so... I guess bad ping? But even this still doesn't seem to correlate with the load speeds so now I'm even more confused haha
Yeah I don't get it. This shouldn't be affecting load speeds all that much. Could you open dev tools, go to the network tab, reload the site, then take a screenshot of the 10-20 assets (make sure you include the waterfall in there too). I wonder just what is causing the site to load so slowly for you!

This has come up before. Infinite scroll is here to stay, sadly.

Oh - I forgot to mention you need to select the right server. There's a server selection button. Please select this server and then run the test:
CA is where NG's servers are located. It probably auto-selected the nearest datacenter to you which is why you got better than expected results.
I suspect it's simply a matter of location and poor connectivity to NG which unfortunately we can't do much about.
Please go to https://bhs.proof.ovh.ca/ and run the test. Send me a screencap of the results. Use Chrome or FF.
Thanks for the detailed feedback. Radio is still a work in progress that will improve over time.

This isn't a supported browser so it doesn't surprise me that it doesn't work.
Chrome: the page just becomes an epileptic hell for some reason
But this shouldn't be happening.
There is no way to do this I'm guessing by design (but I could be wrong). You need the direct playlist link.

What happens in other browsers?
I can't recreate this issue. Try flushing your browser cache. If that doesn't work, let me know what shows up in the console tab.
Could go to the network tab in dev tools and see why those files are being blocked (if that's what's happening)?
Has this always happened? Are you on your home network, or school, or? It looks like some required files are being blocked for some reason.

This might be something we look at doing in the future but it's not possible right now.

We do live shows now too. @GENCER someone should reach out to you shortly (if they haven't already)!

If you fixed this, maybe I could listen to the Electronic station all the time.
There is only one station now and it's mainly electronic.

Lots of great ideas here to consider, some of which we've discussed already. Radio is still very bare bones for sure but we'll be fleshing it out over the coming months.
Thanks for the input!

That might be possible! I'll check into it.
