interesting. i had trouble at the boss for a bit, until i realized my issue. i tried stacking my deck with 6+ power cards. but id end up unable to flip them back. so instead i had a few of the lower power but multi targeting cards. put those in first, then when im down to my last cards i can more easily flip them back
Interesting game, but I feel the last medal you have is unobtainable. The game says there's 24 unique cards, but the badge says "collect all 25 cards". Regardless, I'm pretty sure I've fought every person in the game, but I haven't gotten two / three(?) of the cards I need to finish, one of which I know is "Biblically Accurate", one of the only 7-drops in the game which nobody seems to have except the "final" final boss. If it just becomes a game of "beat people to sell cards and get money to open packs", I can't justifiably give this five stars; it makes it no better than those endlessly repetitive pay-to-win gacha games.
Also, a tip I learned only by having the AI use it against me: if a boss drops an Ace-level card, you can beat it with the 1-drop card "Secularism". I guess that makes sense why every enemy deck seems to have that one card on hand at all times, since the player will be automatically inclined to use the strongest cards possible in their hands.
Not every card is available in the packs or given by NPCs...
Cute little game! Call me unfair, but I don't feel like I can give you full credit since, instead of making your own card game, you just remade Triple Triad without even putting any sort of significant innovative twist on it, but hey, it's still a decently fun and addictive adventure to battle dudes, collect cards, defeat bosses for badges, and so on! While the game was a bit bland and didn't give a strong sense of progression and escalation (really felt like the journey to leaders should have more impact to it with music and level design), and despite me not really liking Triple Triad at all, this game nevertheless was so friendly and cute that I felt compelled to give it my best shot and actually came around to it, so kudos!
Such a nice little experience, not much use for dueling elves apart from their defeat text, Beautiful pixel art for the cards, especially the 25th one, makes it all the more worth it!
