On one hand, I had to get caught up/learn with/about self-employment taxes and will have to figure out a "strat" to promote and get clients. On top of it all, I've been given more responsibility to get a stable income, in a good supportive push kinda way from my parents at least.
I was thinking of also doing it for nsfw but until I can commit to a platform and 3rd party transaction app that's kinda cool with it I'd rather not risk a freeze of the apps I do have ya know. Anywho I've got a hill in front, just a little update on what I've been up to.
How did some of you that do commissions start out, was it a long time before you got clients or is it still a struggle to get consistent work? I may just have to get into a company job and do commissions on the side or something.
I get quite a few Commission requests over on Twitter and IG. I’ve made up to about $1000 a month for commission work, so while it’s not enough to live on at this point, it’s been more than enough to pay my car payment and some bills, which is infinitely helpful. I made collage images as ads, which I’ve pinned to the top of my twitter and that I share to my story on IG every once in a while and that seems to help gather interest.
Of course, the bane of my existence are the people who assume we work for free and who get uppity about it when I won’t.
