I have no idea what that is, is it a database program for flash? to store scores, high scores, play mmo games etc? because it looks like something like that.

Seems pretty good, but I cant test it atm >.<.

It's a multiplayer server dev tool created for Flash, so that flash users can interact with each other live online.

I am just wondering if anyone has ever used this technology before, and whether it is worth investing in or not.

Looking at the examples, I'd say yeah :o

If there's any demo copy or something you could download and try out first, I'd recommend that, you might blow a bit of cash on it and then not get it to work >.<.

Either that, or the more well known http://www.smartfoxserver.com/

I've never really experimented with either, but i've heard alot of hype involving SmartFoxServer.

I know the Rock Paper Scissors Multiplayer game uses SmartFox.

And investigating the demos, Monkey Snowfight uses the Electroserver.

I'd do what the other guy said, stick with SmartFox for now.

Just thinking in a forward thought here, if these types of servers really take off and get more advanced as well as flashs AS, we could very well be looking at actual MMOs using this technology.
My first thought is games like Adventure Quest and maybe some Sci Fi based themes moving up to an MMO status. This could be a very exciting/lucrative path to follow as far as learning and investing.
Just my 2 cents.
