Okay, now that I have that out of my system, how many of you have been working on something and making so much progress and then Flash crashes on you? Has it ever happened? If so, say what you were working on and at what point you felt that you wanted to smash your monitor in and throw your CPU out the window.

I was working on a town for my RPG game. It looked so nice because I added alot of stuff to it. More houses, trash cans, mail boxes, lamp posts, trees, etc. Then I tried to soften fill edges on something and Flash crashed on me! I even had the inside of a house done in another window. It was my fault it hurt so much though because I didn't save.... =(

Now I'm gonna save more often than ever before! =D

It used to happen to me a lot with flash 7, so i know how you feel. I was nearly done with a movie, (fbf), and suddely, crash. And i hadnt saved in the whole day. That was like, 9 hours progress. Lost. D:

But ive learnt. Now i save every single drawing i do.

I was working on a madness flash for 1 and a half hours then flash crashed :( though it doesnt happen very often unless i have it running for a long time with lots of others programs open.

Well get this... I had Flash crash DURING a save! It totally screwed my FLA. And the latest backup I had was weeks old. From that point on I have made a point to save my Flash files to separate locations and names after reaching certain milestones. This also gives a paper trail in case you screw up a function, or change something and decide to go back, or make an almalgamation of something you just changed and something from the past. Anyway...

Damn, that's gotta suck. It's never happened to me before though. Lol, saving must be so complicated for you.
