You click right click on it, click convert to symbol, and name it, then select movie clip.
Or selcet it, and press f8.
They both work, but that saves time. Especially when you have lots to convert.
highlight it, right click and click convert to symbol and choose movie clip
just dont forget to give it a instance name if you plan to use it in a video game
[F8] = Movie clip(on a highlighted object)
