It sounds like you’re really frustrated with yourself right now.
Yeah,, it looks like that. Although lately i haven't going to draw something. Like, a resting. Idk, but you might got a point.
As we improve at art, our sense for art details improves as well. We begin to notice mistakes in our older work that we didn’t before. That’s all it is.
Yeah, that's right, with those ones, aren't proud, but also make me feel happy of my progress. Also, yeah, i meant 2021, but still lmao-
Never too late. As I often say: “You fool, it’s always Halloween!” In all seriousness, though, there’s a subset of the NG population (myself included) that’s happy to see some spooky/horror stuff regardless of the time of year. There’s a Horror Artist Thread somewhere in this forum, as well as the Horrorverse Fan Club in Clubs and Crews! You could get some ideas from them!
Heh, yeah, that might work! Heck, believe it or not, i actually i've working in a less ambitious horror/comedy proyect with other OCs of mine, so yeah. That might work.
However, there's a little something:
I'm really not that much into horror. Sure, every once in a while, but never that down.
And don't really wan't to turn my entire account into a spoopy stuff, that's why i save it for October to November 2. But yeah, maybe those clubs might work. Idk.
3. The Sweet Sixteen.
Oh fucking Gaia, The Sweet Sixteen.
Overall it sounds like you tried to do a challenge that was way bigger than your actual or perceived capabilities.
Sorta, since some people actualy did something simple things. My issue was time.
This one feels the worst, of many factors.
One: I wanted to be part of it, but took me ages to find a "Good plot", and when i found it, it took me literal days to finish some of the pages. Heck, even the plot kinda sucked ass!
The weirdest part i've entered the contest with the mind in the ground. I wasn't gonna win nothing. And welp, i was right. But part of me felt like just smashing my head to the desk.
For one, you may have expected that you’d at least have been a good contender/have a finished product you liked, which you didn’t end up having. For another factor, and this is a shot in the dark considering I only have one data point you’ve mentioned, you might also have a strong emotional reaction to rejection. Take a moment to remember your past experiences and see if that’s true across the board or if it was just frustration about not feeling like you got anywhere.
Well, to be honest, i never won an contest, and whelp. I always had in mind the idea "Just draw because you like it", but, idk. So things like contest really never made me feel off. Except that time.
Look, i don't actually hate the Sweet Sixteen comic i made. But one part of me makes me sad. Maybe because it didn't really looked finished. It's complicated.
The even worst part? I keep convincing myself "It was kinda fun, heck, i can fix the plot and make something good yadah yadah~" BUT THE IMPROVED VERSIÓN ISN'T WORKING.
No joke, it's like, when i try to write some episode script or something like that i got NOTHING. And idk what to do man! Since many years i've never got an actual script!
Yeah. Harsh self pain in matter of minutes. Man, i don't know how i'll make my long dream come true if i don't even know what to write...
It may be time to seek outside help for writing. Not to have it all written for you, of course, just to get advice on where to start from when coming up with a plot. I can give you some suggestions to start with:
In terms of getting the good feeling back, I do have a support group thread for artists who are losing motivation, though I’m not sure if comics have been discussed yet. I’m also always happy to help people brainstorm on their projects, so if you want, shoot me a message and we can talk!
Yeah, idk, i think i will. At least i can tell i'm more chill now. I dunno.
