I'm finishing polishing my game that will soon be on the site and as an extra add-on I want to give it medals, I'm using game maker 1.4 and I can't find the way to add medals, any advice?

newgrounds.io lists the Newgrounds API for GameMaker Studio 2, and with GameMaker 2 now being free for noncommercial use and a one-time license for commercial use, might be worth just importing it into 2?

1.4 had an API wrapper from what I remember but I think it still has the bugs in it I fixed for 2
