SUBMISSIONS RUNNING FROM TODAY UNTIL THE 15TH OF JANUARY 2024

Break It Up Collab - A collab to celebrate the many genres that sample breakbeats such as Jungle/Drum N Bass, Happy Hardcore, Hip Hop, and many more!

You can make an original song or a remix, they can be instrumental or include vocals, the focus is on the old school stuff, but modern genres are well accepted too!

Now the rules:

• Be creative with them breaks! Chopping, filtering, FX, or even making one from scratch! Don't just drag and drop the amen break and call it a day :(

• BPMs accepted will range from 115-200, you can go a bit lower or higher but not too far away from that range.

• The length of each track should be between 2 and 5 minutes.

• You can participate a maximum of 2 times, so for example you can either submit 2 songs/remixes, submit 1 by yourself and collab with someone for another, or collab twice.

As for submissions:

• You can send them with a file sharing website, Newgrounds PM (https://xanxoepico.newgrounds.com/), or discord DM (xanxoepico) either as a 44khz 24/32bit .WAV file or a 320kbps .mp3

• The name of the file should include your NG username, the name of the song, and anyone you collaborated with, something like this for example: [Username] - [Song Name] (Feat. [Username])

• Make sure your file isn't peaking over 0db

Working something weird rn on a funky drummer break, I remember seeing this a little under a month ago and I was like "That's a late ass deadline I can come up with something by then" but then it left the frontpage, did I miss the deadline?

I am making something for this. It's proper jungle and early DnB vibes. It is well underway and only really needs a final drop to be complete sans mixing, so let's hope the first two weeks of 2024 are good to me
