Poker night at the Inventory game dev concept, but it's Newgrounds themed

This is a game development idea of a video poker game based on Telltale’s “Poker Night at the Inventory”, but it features characters from web series on Newgrounds (right now the theme is Sci Fi characters). I'm also posting this here if there are any ideas or thoughts of this being a potential fun and chill game since the original Poker Night games are no longer on Steam since TellTale's first bankruptcy, so additional info on the characters' strategies and tactics are in the "Video Games" forum section if anyone is interested in checking. Below are the list of characters that I would personally think could make a fun cast to play with and what their strategies would be:

1st opponent: Margo (Hands Up by Joel “@JoelG” Guerra)

A lazy, narcissistic, rude space cop who decides to take a night off and into even more high stakes. It would be an opportunity to expand the potential lore of Hands Up with Margo telling her job stories, giving her some funny conversation exchanges and responses, and maybe some little fun references or facts about Joel’s other series “ENA” (maybe having some connections with ENA). I was thinking her to have a different attires besides her usual green or black goth outfits, maybe wearing a formal dress since she adores the attention from the other guys or even have her wear different outfit designs based on the other shorts or from Joel’s alternate clothing designs of her as unlockables. Her bounty is the most difficult one for me to think of, I'm thinking the hourglass dog from the ENA series.

2nd opponent: Shrike Sanchez (Monkey Wrench by Josh “@Zeurel” Palmer)

An impatient yet thrill-seeking mercenary who wants to pounce on large fat rewards whether he finds the chance, thus joining in and wagering on the poker tournament. Shrike would tell his past merc jobs, his time with L.A.W. Navy and subtle hints on why he quit to find his own path, even share his love of pizza with Margo, possibly having constant “besties” moments with her. There would be some fun moments with him codeswitching between English and Spanish during the game, announcing his moves and especially when he wins or loses a pot depending on the conditions. I’d say his bounty would be his dual space guns or his El Bandito comics collection.

3rd opponent: Geronimo (Geronimo & Heatstepper by Ryan “@GrillHou5e” Foley)

A freelance space deputy jackalope finding an opportunity to pay rent and play high stakes, he decides to bring some of his savings and puts his luck on the poker tournament. Geronimo seems to be the most rational, but still simple-minded of the poker group, mostly as the straight man during the conversations. I feel I don’t know Geronimo’s personality well, but I imagine he’s pretty trigger-happy and would occasionally show off his marksmanship to the others, especially with Shrike, and exchange his crime stories with Margo since they’re both law enforcers who also do nothing to shut down this tournament but play along. I’m thinking that he would come along with Heatstepper who would be there just to accompany with him, and would assist him in certain occasions, like Sam & Max in Poker Night 2. For his bounty maybe a pair of red nun-chucks based on one of the creator’s concept arts of the series.

4th opponent: Killgar (Starbarians by Harry “@HappyHarry” Partridge)

A brutal yet greedy space barbarian who would kill for rewards, or just take first kill next. Killgar finds out about the poker tournament through Hogstrong’s invite and decides to take his place instead without him knowing so he could keep the reward for himself, not knowing what poker is before signing up. I imagine him telling stories of his brutal adventures, his battle victories, constantly insulting Hogstrong behind his back, and having moments where he almost lets out his murderous intent whether he loses to a much higher hand. His bounty reward would probably be Hogstrong's axe-rifle combination weapon that he swiped.

Dealer: Wink (Wimp Witch by @cecameron)

Similar to Glados, Wink would be in his computer monitor form instead of having a body. He would probably give snarky remarks and insults to the player and the opponents, but solely complimenting Margo (mostly “simping” on her). Unfortunately I can’t imagine him having much to tell about his life or job. Wink is the only AI computer similar to Glados I could think of, and I don’t really have any other Newgrounds Sci-Fi themed character in mind that could be a unique dealer. His bounty would probably be his personal hover-scooter like vehicle he used when he had a body.

For unlockables, I would say after playing/winning the player can use the token winnings to unlock other poker games (Omaha, Razz, Short Deck, etc.). You could also use the tokens to unlock in-game card, chip and table design themes base on the characters’ respective series or other Newgrounds series (Henry Stickmin, Madness Combat, Alien Hominid, etc.), triggering unique dialogue based on the setting. You would also have the option to inverse with the other characters' conversation; whenever the opponents are conversing with each other, they would ask the player their opinion or question regarding what the topic is, and depending on their choices (limit 3) one would react positively or negatively and the other would react vise versa (both either one). You could also control the flow of the conversation ("Mom's the word" to "The gift of gab"), whether the player wants to focus on the game or enjoy the table banter.

I imagine the host running the tournament would be either the following character choices: Hoonis Boogie (@Gooseworx), Pod-chan, or Dr Good (@DannyGoodShirt). I feel there could be more potential hosts but I don't really know much other characters, especially Sci Fi characters. The bartender where the player orders drinks from for the other characters would be the red girl character from the game “Bar-I-Tone” (she's not Sci Fi but is the only bartender character I know on this site). Wow, what an incredibly creative and engaging idea! Bringing together characters from different web series onto the poker table sounds like a blast, especially with their unique personalities and potential interactions. The mix of Sci-Fi characters adds an intriguing twist to the classic Poker Night concept. I can already imagine the witty banter and hilarious moments that could arise during the game. The attention to detail in designing unlockables based on different series is a fantastic touch that adds depth and customization to the experience. It's refreshing to see such dedication to character traits and backstories while incorporating them into a game format. Wishing you all the best in developing this fun and chill game concept!
