So this idea I had is sorta old, I was first working on it in early 2022 and it was called somethin like “The Quest for the Missing Homework Assignment” but I found that title kinda lame so then I came up with “Bob + Larry’s Super Cool Game (at least we think it’s cool!)”.

Do y’all think I should continue working on this? Because I don’t really know if it will turn out good or not

Ideas by themselves aren't typically associated with the reception of a game; its execution matters far more, which is why you see thousands upon thousands of games that fall within the same genre, use similar mechanics and tropes, and yet some achieve better success than others despite sharing pretty similar ideas and themes.

So if you want to go ahead and make it, by all means do so. It doesn't matter if the idea isn't novel because most aren't, as it's not a precondition to having a good finished product.
