1:07 -- @PoultrygeistGame - I sent you a gory harry potter animation I had from years back for the collab. If people havent seen harry potter or the collab, in the first film Hermoine blasts harry's face with a spell to fix his glasses having 0 magical training. I always thought that scene should logically result in Harry Potter's face exploding. My question is: Are there any halloween movies you think shouldn't get associated with Halloween and vice versa. I think of Harry Potter as a halloween movie (witches and all) but I also think of them as a Christmas movies. What movies should be watched at Halloween but don't, and what has glommed on to halloween but belongs in a different season? eg imo anything camp crystal lake is a summer watch.

@DannyGoodShirt:
"Always stop about 90%..." Idk who said this to me but it's good advice if you are a perfectionist.
If you remember something funny or memorable someone, or yourself, says then write it down.
If you have a job where you meet weird, shitty, or interesting people... Use it as influence!
Honestly, just use Newgrounds community boards to ask for help and start collabs. The best thing I did was start the Halloween Collab and I ended up connecting with people I've now known for 5 years.
For Writing:
Parasite disillusionment arc
I don't know how much this helped me, but realizing there are many ways to tell a story is pretty fun. This video started getting me into theory a little bit.
Best advice to learn how to write is simply watch your favorite shows with a stack of index cards. Write what happens in each scene on different cards. Do this with multiple shows of a specific genre.
You'll learn a lot about structure. It will help to do this with Pilots only, and then 2nd episodes only.
At the same time, remember there are no "rules." Just make something that doesn't suck!!!
Specific influences for me:
Satoshi Kon - Perfect Blue
Takashi Miike - First Love, Itchi the Killer, Audition
The Novel/Anime: Welcome to the NHK (big inspiration for the MC in my Webcomic Astromon!)
Anime in general like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Black Lagoon
Korean movies inspire me a lot with their interesting characters and stories but I haven't done anything in the tone or genre yet.
Recently been watching classic horror movies for the first time:
Friday the 13th (terrible) Nightmare on Elmstreet 1,5,7 (good) Texas Chainsawmassacre (great!) Jaws was great too. Hellraiser was cool but stupid.
All the Final Destination movies are terrible.
