Yeah you can upload your HTML5 zip and do "preview" and it will hosted on NG and only be visible to you (and your collaborators). Pretty useful.

You can also use a github page to host a test version of the game, which is what I did. Useful for sharing, which you can't do with NG's preview.

This sounds awesome. I have had a game in mind for a while that would be perfect for this, but I've never used Construct 2 so I don't know what kinds of limitations it has. Seems like the custom plugin system allows for pretty much anything though.

You guys committed to it so much, which was what really did it. If you only changes the theme and some images, and let people post and all that, it wouldn't have been nearly as great. Also locking out nearly all your content for almost a day was really ballsy and risky, but I think it led to a greater belief factor for the noobs who fell for the trick. The flashes and movies submitted were great and the BBS posts were also hilarious.
