god that's scary. also kinda funny lol

The digitally remastered THX logo that would play loudly asf in the beginning of my (2000s) Disney DVDs (Tarzan, The Lion King, Emperors New Groove, Mulan)

I would always go start the movie in the scene selection instead of playing "start movie" to avoid it. 💀

If not that- then there's the Mr meaty show..that shit used to scare and disturb me as a kid. I hated whenever it was on TV.

The uncanny ugly souless puppet rats.

Ren and Stimpy.

A rando who likes FNF and doing nothing whatsoever on a clinically unhealthy way. Not working on Nightmare Cops.

I remember watching the bathroom episode when I was a kid, and horrifying myself. If I watched that again today, it wouldn't scare me anymore, but would make me very uncomfy, to the point of vomiting

This. Might still be somewhat unnerving but looking back, I do get amused at my past self.

It doesn't scare me as much anymore but Large Marge from Peewee's Big Adventure has to be mentioned. The Jumpscare just comes out of nowhere and the effect is really impressive.

Robot chicken's Toy Story 4 sketch made me depressed as a child, I thought it was real and that toy story ended with Buzz getting lobotomized. Also Robot Chicken still is fucken me up. Have you guys ever seen the Home Alone sketch? I mean Jesus Christ, I saw that when I was 16 and I still think about it. It plays out like a Final Destination scene but they use Disney channel music and it ends with Home Alone's mom looking at his burnt corps and screaming. Its such a nightmarish situation and I hate thinking about it.

Roger Rabbit. That scene where the dude betrays the innocent trust of the cartoon shoe and melts him alive in a vat of acid fucked me up forever.

Also, one as an adult: Frozen. The scenes with the rock trolls. It's like nobody else understands why they're so fucked up. A bunch of short little monstrous bastards gather all around you, telling you need to be 'fixed up' before you can be a good lay. They sing songs and gaslight you and mock you and hurt your self-esteem and demand you change your fundamental nature or you're worthless. Shit was just a little too real, you know what I'm sayin

This one scene in the Road to El Dorado, where the stone jaguar chases them. I don't think there was a single piece of media I watched as a child that scared me more than this. It's kind of ridiculous, but I didn't touch this movie with a ten foot pole again for like a decade.

This thing's still a little bit terrifying lmao

The Bear and Lion duo from Teletubbies scared the fuck out of me.

Not scared of them now but still find them disturbing.

Brush Lee and Jackie Chain

Was just a stupid show about a Kung Fu toilet brush but something about the faces and how aggressively they spoke legit freaked me out as a kid

I distinctly remember him fighting two guys who were basically waterboarding him by giving him a swirly in the toilet. I thought it was like, a torture scene or something and had to turn the TV off

I watched some of the shorts not long ago and realized child me was just being a stupid baby over nothing lol

The baby sun from Teletubbies (insert communist anthem here)

I remember being afraid of The Nightmare Before Christmas as a kid, especially the scenes with Oogie Boogie since I always was freaked out when the bugs came out of him.

I find it funny that I went from being afraid of that movie to absolutely loving it as time went on.

Watership Down.

My younger self was not ready for the brutal shit that film had - especially since the BBFC had given it a U rating at the time I first watched it (it got re-rated PG in 2022),

I think I've gotten over many disturbing/scary things from my childhood but one thing that scared me as a kid was when the Annoying Orange made a Ring parody video. I did not like the visual of an enlarged annoying orange crawling out of a well and coming out of the tv screen with that creepy face.
